At 17, Abby was struggling with severe depression and repeated hospitalizations, leaving her and her family feeling hopeless. Through CHC’s RISE Intensive Outpatient Program, she gained the skills, confidence, and support to heal, rediscover her purpose, and begin helping others.

DBT Groups Offer a Lifeline

Navigating Neurodivergence: Megan’s Journey with the Schwab Learning Center at CHC
Megan, a high-achieving academic with a background in the Marine Corps and a PhD student at Stanford, sought help from the Schwab Learning Center (SLC) to complete her dissertation. Through personalized support and a diagnosis of multiple learning differences, Megan developed essential strategies to manage her work.
The CHC SteelMike Shootout Scores Again
On August 25, 2024, more than 450 community members and basketball players gathered to participate in the CHC SteelMike Shootout to raise over $300,000 for The Michael Harris Fund at CHC.

On February 25, 2025, 200 community members gathered to watch a screening of Dr. Grandin’s upcoming film, An Open Door. The following day, Dr. Grandin spoke to CHC parents at our Palo Alto office.

EBC’s Andrea Chase Honored as Direct Care Worker of the Year 2024
EBC Classroom Assistant, Andrea Chase, stepped into a well-deserved spotlight as she was named the Direct Care Worker of the Year at the 2024 National Association of Private Special Education Centers Conference.
